Thank you! I was particularly confused by the use of a best selling novel with thousands of good reviews on Goodreads as proof that bad books are disrespectful because... Wilde didn't like it? To me the problem seems to be the reader there, not the writer.

This seems more like a rant from someone upset they couldn't be better than indie authors by getting a book deal from a big publishing house.
